HERE ARE A FEW REMINDERS:

We want to thank all those parents who accompanied us to Finca Loma Linda in Santa Lucia:  Ms.Yolinda Zúniga, Mary Ann Seday, Deborah Chibonga, Amy Robertson, Sandra Noguera and Emelie Weitnauer, Ms. Balbina, Ms. Ana Garcia and Ms. Jessica Antúnez.

March 23 REPORT CARDS- Half Day- Conferences. This is an early dismissal day (PM Schedule). The children will leave school at 11:45 a.m. If a conference has not been called for but you would still like to meet with a teacher, please contact the school.

March 30, Easter Celebration- Ms. Amy Robertson has kindly offered to host it. The Easter Committee: Mr.Lucas and Lily Liu,  Katya, Elmy, Francis, Deborah and Amy  have planned lots of wonderful surprises for the children. We need the children to  bring at least (10) ten clean unbroken egg shells. The way to do it is by opening two small holes on each end of the egg and then blow through one of the ends to empty it. Do not boil the eggs.

The eggs will be painted in class for an egg hunt. We will create a traditional sawdust carpet. Have lunch together and play some water games. Please have your child bring their swimming suit, towel and insect repellent.

The children will be leaving from school at 9:45 a.m. The activity is likely to last until 2:30 p.m. You can pick your child at Amy’s house or if your child needs transportation on the way back, Ms. Amy will gladly give your child a ride back to school.

The Committee is asking parents to send money to cover the cost of the sawdust and a portion of the food; the rest will be covered by the families of the Easter Committee. The fees are as follows:

Cost per Student ..................................................Lps.80.00 each
Cost per Parent  ...................................................Lps.45.00 each
Cost per Sibling ....................................................Lps.40.00 each

We are looking for parents to assist in the transportation of the children. Parents will be welcome to stay and enjoy the day, and those with preschool/nursery siblings are welcome to bring them when they finish at midday.

So far we have parents that have offered to help with  the transportation: David and Yudia Alvarado, Emelie Weitnauer, Ana García, Deborah Chibonga and Lucas.

A note for your information and signature will be going home today.

ARRIVAL TO SCHOOL – We would like to remind all parents and students that the first bell rings at 7:55 a.m. The second bell rings at 8:00 a.m. By this time, all students should be in their classrooms ready for instructions. If your child is late, he/she misses important information and disrupts the rest of his/her classmates.

JUNIORS TO CAYOS COCHINOS- Our Junior class of 2012 will visit Cayos Cochinos during the last week of  March. They will visit and work with the public school of Cayo Mayor, which suffers of poor resources and scarcity. As responsible citizens we are determined to provide these students with the necessary materials. For this reason, we are requesting your donations of the following school materials (new or used): Markers, pencils, crayons, notebooks, colors, sharpeners, etc. Thank you for your generosity.
If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Have a nice week!

Ms. Muriel & Ms. Elena
