Friday 17 & Monday 20  President’s Day Weekend

Thursday, February 23  The day finally arrived for our Second grade class to participate in our fieldtrip to El Zamorano.

The children have been studying soils and the importance of worms to make compost in our Science Unit. In order for the children to experience and learn more about this topic, we are planning our fieldtrip to Escuela Agrícola Panamericana. Since the university is located in the outskirts of Tegucigalpa about 40-50 minute bus ride we request  your contribution to cover for bus expenses of Lps.120.00 per student. Any parent who is willing to come along is more than welcome to join us since we rented a bus with a maximum capacity of 50 persons.

We want to thank all those parents who have already signed up for this activity: Ms. Sandra Noguera, Yolinda Zúniga, Mary Ann Seday, Deborah Chibonga, Amy Robertson and  Emelie Weitnauer. Parents don’t need to pay extra money.

All students are required to ride the bus and wear a Discovery School T-shirt (Sold in Camiseria Atuán- Mall El Dorado) and tennis shoes. We also recommend using jeans or sweat pants so that your child is comfortable.

Each student needs to bring his/her lunch (pack a snack and a simple lunch since there is no microwave) and a water bottle.

We will leave the school at 8:00 a.m. (Please plan being on time) and come back around 2:30 p.m.

If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Have a nice week!

Ms. Muriel & Ms. Elena
